A Friend...

A dear, sweet little sister of mine recently posted this in a note on Facebook and I thought it was too good not to share. Enjoy!

What if we all took some time and thought of the attributes we love in each of our friends ... and put them all together? What would we get?

You are so wonderful, sweet, caring, and kind.
Sometimes you're quiet - but that's when you're listening, learning.
When you do speak again, that's when you offer your best advice.
You're always there for me and we can always find something creative and fun to do.
You're hilarious! encouraging! empathetic!
You're healthy and you motivate others to be as well - without being pushy.
You are the most helpful ... no matter what ... no matter when ... you're there.
You go the extra mile.
You are so understanding when I mess up.
You never use anything against me.
Each new day is a fresh start with you ... and I know, at the end of the day, we're completely at peace.
You seem to make friends so easily ... because you have that spark about you that attracts others to you.
You are so creative, so eloquent, so put together - but you always remain humble.
You're so dependable, always on time, never leave a task unfinished.
You don't have all of the newest gadgets/gizmos - but you're fine without them - even better without them.
You're content and joyous with your life.
Because of you, I learn something very valuable each day.
You're life is a lesson.
You know when to be serious, to be quite, to be loud, and even when to be CRAZY.
We could be miles apart, but I know our hearts are always near.
You're always honest - and each word is said in love.
You have the BEST taste in music and such a unique style.
You never procrastinate and you're not lazy.
You never make me feel bad about myself because of our differences.
You're a great friend.

So, what would you get? One perfect friend.

Of course, Jesus is the only friend we have who is "perfect" alone. Still, isn't it wonderful to know we have the ability to be a part of someone's perfect group of friends?

Let's try to broaden our attributes - and begin to be much more to those around us.

Your friend,
Shelley

Shelley my dear, you are wise beyond your years.
